Our school was opened under the name of Anatolian Technical High School as a single department (Aircraft Electronics) in the 1990-1991 academic years, within the body of our province s Engine Anatolian Technical High School. After the completion of its construction of buildings, it moved to its new buildings in Gazipaşa Mahallesi in 1991. Computer Department started to operate in our school in 1991-1992 academic year and Aircraft Structure and Engine Department started to operate in 1994-1995. Our school is the first education institution in Turkey which have gotten the document of T.S. EN-ISO 9001. As a result of the application which was made to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation for Recognized School Status in order to certify that our school provides education in accordance with Civil Aviation Standards, it has become an approved and certificated maintenance training institution in B1.1 (Aircraft Structure and Engine-Gas Turbine Engines) and B2 (Aircraft Electronics) categories. The name of the Anatolian Technical High School was changed to Sabiha Gökçen Technical and Industrial Vocational High School with the orders of the Ministry of National Education, General Directorate of Male Technical Teachers, dated 27/03/2009 and numbered B.08.0.ETÖ.0.10.01.02/2.71/1573. In May 2014, it was named Sabiha Gökçen Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School . Our school was included in the project school with the approval of the Ministry of National Education on 02.04.2019 and numbered 6715285 and became a project school in 2019. Between 2019-2021 academic years, a total of 242 students participated in the competitions by preparing projects with TÜBİTAK 4006-2204 A TÜBİTAK 2204 C and e-twinning pro national quality label and 18 students in the International Arena. In 2021-2022 academic year, our school got the second grade in the Competition of Pole Searches, Tübitak 2204 C, and the first grade of Turkey in Teknofest Fixed Wing Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Competition. Our school moved to its new campus in Aşağı Söğütönü District in September 2016. In our new campus Education Building consists of 24 classrooms, 1 Physics, 1 Chemistry, 1 Biology, 1 Computer Laboratory and 1 Conference Hall; Aircraft Maintenance Field Building consists of 13 Workshops, 8 Classrooms, 2 Computer Labs and 1 Hangar, Computer Technology Department Building consists of 8 Workshops and 2 Classrooms, and in general our school own a male student dormitory with a capacity of 225 students and 1 Sports Hall.
